The force feedback in Gran Turismo 7 is too weak. What is this caused by?

Update 30/05/2022

Polyphony Digital released an update that temporarily reduces the intensity and torque of the force feedback signal for some wheel bases including the Podium Racing Wheel F1 and the Gran Turismo DD Pro. We suggest that you run the in-game Force Feedback Max. Torque setting at 10 to compensate for this change (previously, values above '5' would introduce excessive clipping into the signal, but this is currently not the case for these wheel bases).

The CSL Elite Wheel Base + is unaffected by the update and therefore should continue to use Force Feedback Max. Torque at 5.

Note that the force feedback is expected to change in a future update, and the recommended Force Feedback Max. Torque setting for the Podium Racing Wheel F1 and the Gran Turismo DD Pro will likely return to the previous value.
