Fanatec's CSL Elite Porsche Vision GT Steering Wheel is a unique blend of automotive innovation, gaming fantasy, and sim racing excellence. Originally designed as part of the Porsche Vision Gran Turismo concept car for Gran Turismo® 7, this stunning steering wheel has made the leap from virtual to reality, now available to sim racers in a meticulously engineered form.

The origins of this wheel trace back to the Porsche Vision Gran Turismo, which made its debut during the FIA Certified Gran Turismo Championships World Finals, the esports event centered around Gran Turismo Sport. This project marked Porsche’s first fully virtual concept car, created exclusively for Gran Turismo® 7. The design was a collaboration between Porsche’s Style team, led by Michael Mauer, Vice President of Style Porsche, and the development teams at Polyphony Digital, headed by Kazunori Yamauchi, the visionary behind the Gran Turismo series.

As part of the virtual vehicle, the steering wheel in the Vision GT concept stood out for its minimalist yet futuristic design. It departed from traditional wheel layouts with a form inspired by racing DNA and shaped by the constraints—and freedoms—of a digital environment. That digital wheel, once purely fictional, has now been realized in the physical world as a high-end sim racing accessory.

The real-world Porsche Vision GT Steering Wheel has been developed in partnership with Fanatec. Built with premium materials and uncompromising quality, the Vision GT wheel faithfully recreates the aesthetics and ergonomics of the in-game counterpart while delivering pro-level functionality for serious sim racers.

One of the most notable features is the use of Tactaris, a new synthetic material on the grips, offering a firm, tactile feel designed for extended racing sessions. This advanced material is both durable and comfortable, enhancing the immersive experience. The wheel's construction reflects motorsport precision, with spoke cutouts that emphasize the futuristic design language.

Visually, the steering wheel is nothing short of stunning. It mirrors the concept car’s ethos of blending performance with forward-thinking aesthetics that are complemented by subtle Porsche branding. It features eight push buttons, six rotary encoders, a 7-way FunkySwitch, magnetic shifters and an OLED display, that make it aesthetically appealing while remaining feature-rich.

The steering wheel is compatible with Windows PC and PlayStation (provided you are using a Sony-licensed wheel base, like the Gran Turismo DD Extreme).
