Why do I need a hub?

Fanatec hubs are the brain of your steering wheel and a required connector between your wheel base and rim. You should choose your hub based on your platform and preferred style of racing.

Your Fanatec hub is mounted between the Quick Release Wheel-Side and your rim. Some hubs are included in steering wheel sets, but you are flexible in designing your setup, thanks to the Fanatec ecosystem.

You can generally choose from our product segments, but the platform you play on may limit some options:

• CSL Series
• ClubSport Series
• Podium Series

When choosing the right hub for you, consider the following points:

CSL, ClubSport and Podium hubs can all be used on Windows PC.

PlayStation users have the same flexibility, provided the sim racing setup includes a Sony-licensed wheel base – check the Compatibility section on the product page for details.

However, if you are an Xbox user, you will have to use a ClubSport Universal Hub for Xbox, the only Fanatec hub that enables Microsoft compatibility.

CSL Universal Hub V2, a great choice for entry-level sim racing. This hub is a budget-friendly, while still allowing for high torque-mode in combination with an aluminum QR.

ClubSport Universal Hub V2 gives you the freedom for almost any customization! It comes with 4 button cluster and the Fanatec FunkySwitch and comes equipped with the ClubSport Magnetic Paddle Module. Sim racers looking to add analog paddles for clutch or throttle/brake control within the reach of your fingertips can upgrade to the Podium Advanced Paddle Module, which comes with an aluminum QR by default.

ClubSport Universal Hub V2 for Xbox has the same features, but enables compatibility with Xbox, which is why it has a slightly different price point.

Podium Hub is directly inspired by the real racing cars. Its simplicity allows the user to fully customize their sim racing experience and avoid investing in features that may not be needed. Based on your needs, the Podium Hub can be combined with a ClubSport Button Cluster Pack, Podium Advanced Paddle Module or ClubSport Magnetic Paddle Module. The result is a lighter and more rigid steering wheel, ready to provide you with a great instrument for the toughest races. It also comes with aluminum QR by default.
